Overview of Development Project

Following generations of dairy farming from the 250-hectare farm, the current custodians are committed to securing a sustainable future for this land. They are offering camping and glamping as part of their vision to farm in as environmental way as possible.

Planning permission obtained for bell tent camping by pond at Coppett Hill campsite in Dorset

Coppett Hill offers 18 family tent pitches, a luxury bell tent and 2 landpods. They also work closely with local organisations like the Dorset Wildlife Trust to improve the land, hedgerows and trees and to improve their farming and land management practice.

The site is in the heart of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This meant that we had to consider carefully the landscape impact of our proposals. Ultimately, we came up with a suitable layout to minimise harm to the AONB.

Whitacre Planning’s expertise helped the applicants secure permission, and also minimised costs and delays.
